Most of us know that a BPO executive just takes and receives calls. We are completely clueless about some of the interesting job profiles in BPO industry. Here are some of them.
Business Analyst: This job profile is usually related to KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing) and deals with financial or business analysts of the organization. This is very domain specific job and requires qualification like a degree in mathematics or statistics. You also need to have an average communication skill as you need to interact with clients on regular basis.
Financial support executives: These job profiles are with the banking and insurance sectors. You need to be a commerce graduate with good communication skills. Exposure to banking, finance and insurance is taken as an added advantage.
Technical writing or Instructional designing: This is a domain specific job and you need to have certification in instructional writing. A lot of companies outsource content writing jobs. Apart from this technical writers and flash designers are also in great demand.
Language Specialists: Foreign languages like German, French, Spanish and Japanese are in high demand. If you have studied any of these then there are several opportunities for you in BPO industry.
Medical transcription: The job of a medical transcriptionist requires you to be a science graduate. You need to have an average communication skill for this as it does not require much interaction with clients. All you require to have is sharp listening skills, good written English and typing speed is must.
In last few years India has emerged as a global hub of outsourcing. Several multinational are setting up call centers as well back offices here. This has created the need for huge pool of call center professionals.
